Travel To | Canggu, Bali

Canggu (the ‘Gu) is often referred to in sentences featuring the following words ‘surfers, alternative, edgy vibe, cool’ – serious questions were arising as to whether I was ‘cool’ enough to fit in. However, upon arriving at Lila Boutik all fears of being out of place were left behind – this place oozed serenity (albeit a tad ‘bouji’ & an Instagram haven).

If you’re looking to get away from the chaotic streets of Seminyak, but don’t want to leave the beach club vibe behind, this is the place for you. From cute cafes, to poolside bars like no other – the ‘Gu has got you sorted.

Travel To | Seminyak, Bali

After a week of island life on Gili T & Gili Air it was time to head back to the mainland (after the most turbulent boat ride of my life.. I didn’t actually realise I suffer from sea sickness, but apparently I do)! Needless to say it was not pretty. However, I made it back in one piece and the next pit stop on my travels was Seminyak.

I’d heard mixed things about Seminyak prior to arriving, so I only booked myself to stay for a couple of days. Quite honestly, this was enough. Not because it wasn’t great, but I felt like I’d conquered the area in 48hrs.

Travel To | Ubud, Bali

Having planned this trip for the past 3 months it seems pretty surreal now that I’ve actually arrived. Having stumbled off the plane in Singapore, I had time to stroll to the gate and board the next plane to Bali, 3 hours later and I’d arrived at my first pit stop, Ubud.

Remember Eat, Pray, Love? – Yep, that’s Ubud. Think luscious green rice paddies, yogis galore and the most unreal food I’ve ever had. Needless to say, this place did not disappoint.

Travel To | Stockholm

When I signed up to the Stockholm Half Marathon at the beginning of the summer, it seemed only right to make a girly weekend of it when it came around in September. So as a birthday surprise, I whisked off my best-friend and off we went to frolic the Scandinavian streets in search of the best spots in town. Anyone who knows me, knows my slight coffee addiction, so when I heard about the Swede’s concept of “Fika”, this was something I was going to seriously embrace.

Fika (Swedish pronunciation: [²fiːka]) is a concept in Swedish culture with the basic meaning “to have coffee”, often accompanied with pastries.
